budapest

well i was going to go to sleep that night as i said but the guy who runs the hostel convinced me to take a little walk to an island not far away where they have bars and stuff and just check it out... well it didnt take much convincing. when i got there i really wasnt feeling the clubby thing at all. i was tired. but i heard some live music a little down the way and lo and behold i finally found my hippies! there were a bunch of guy playing on guitars, bass, and alot of percussion instruments. mostly latin stuff. and people were dancing and laying in the grass. passing around bottles of wine to drink from. passing around things to smoke. dreadies everywhere. i was home. just what i needed. sat and talked awhile with some people. met a nice girl who invited me to a party that was supposed to be going on friday night. well that was last night. turned out that the hostel owners were planning on taking us all there anyways. it was a free underground illegal party in the woods. all electronic music. there were supposed to be like 9 stages with different types of techno and electronica. turned out that cops shut down all but 3. it was crazy tho! so many people. all out in the woods. and i saw my friend there! well now she is taking me tonight to another party at a lake with all of her friends and djs spinning goa and psy trance. so im checking out of the hostel early to go to this thing and from there tomorrow i should be off to vienna! i may get a ride there with one of her friends who is going. or at least ill be able to get to a nearby train when i arrive in austria.

2 nights ago i went with one of my new hostel friends to his new hungarian girlfriends apartment. we drank wine and talked. i passed out on her couch. he woke me up at like 6 asking me if i had a condom. i was so confused that i asked him if we were on a boat. i was so sure of myself that we were on a boat. and i started looking around for my pack which i surely didnt have. i even went out and looked over the edge of her balcony. when felipe asked what the hell i was doing i told him that i was checking to see if there was water over the ledge cuz then i would know whether or not we were on a boat. turned out we were not on a boat. we were in some random apartment in budapest. and i didnt have my bag because it was at the hostel where it was supposed to be. so no, i didnt have a condom for felipe. and i went back to sleep.
